Notification: Parks and Wildlife Service is part of the new Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA).

The department is responsible for preparing and implementing management plans for marine and terrestrial parks and reserves in accordance with the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984.

The department has a firm commitment to public consultation and recognises the right of members of the public to have a meaningful role in conserving Western Australia's natural environment to ensure healthy ecosystems, social and economic wellbeing and conservation of biological diversity for present and future generations.
