For something a little bit different on Valentine’s Day, treat your loved one to a ‘Darlings of the Range’ evening at beautiful Beelu National Park in the Perth Hills.

From 5-10pm on Saturday 13 February, enjoy a moonlight supper and meet some real ‘darlings of the range’ – baby marsupials and mammals - at the Department of Parks and Wildlife Perth Hills Discovery Centre in Allen Road, Mundaring.

Later, enjoy a movie at the iconic Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema, located over the road from the discovery centre.

Parks and Wildlife Nearer to Nature coordinator Jill Francis said the ‘Darlings of the Range’ event offered a unique experience.

“Summer is a great time of year for an evening outdoors in the Perth Hills, so why not treat someone you love to an unusual and memorable Valentine’s Day experience?” Ms Francis said.

“A close encounter with some of our native animals and a meal and movie under the stars will beat an ordinary restaurant hands down.”

Ms Francis said the ‘Darlings of the Range’ event was suitable for those aged over 18 and cost $55 per person.

Bookings are required. Please call the Perth Hills Discovery Centre on 9295 2244.
