For something a little bit different on Valentine’s Day, treat your loved one to a ‘Darlings of the Range’ evening at beautiful Beelu National Park in the Perth Hills.

From 5-10pm on Saturday 14 February, get up close and personal with some real ‘darlings of the range’ – baby marsupials and mammals - and enjoy a moonlit supper at the Department of Parks and Wildlife Perth Hills Discovery Centre in Allen Road, Mundaring.

Later, enjoy a romantic movie at nearby Kookaburra Outdoor Cinema.

Parks and Wildlife Nearer to Nature coordinator Jill Francis said the ‘Darlings of the Range’ event offered a unique experience.

“Summertime is a great time of year for an evening outdoors in the Perth Hills, particularly on Valentine’s Day,” Ms Francis said.

“Why go to a regular restaurant when you can do something unusual and memorable like experiencing a close encounter with some of our native animals and a meal and movie under the stars?”

Ms Francis said the ‘Darlings of the Range’ event was suitable for those aged over 18 and cost $55 per person.

Bookings are required. Please call the Perth Hills Discovery Centre on 9295 2244.
