Biological surveying is conducted in many areas of the state, covering a range of ecosystems including wetlands.

Monitoring provides general guidance on monitoring plants and animals.

A wide range of wetland publications and reports can be found at the department's Conservation Library.

  • The State of the Environment Report 2007 reports on the condition of the State's environment, the major environmental issues facing the State, and identifies what we are doing, and should be doing, to improve the environment for now and in the future.
  • The Wetlands of the Swan Coastal Plain is a series of wetland research projects no longer in print, but available through the department's Conservation Library.
